I'm sorry guys. I searched the forum for 10 minutes. Right after I posted this I read the post from yesterday asking the same thing!

    i need some help...

So I blew a piston rod thru cylinder wall in my 2000. I'm going to be doing a junk yard engine swap. My question is. My 2000 has coils, obviously. And they also have the infamous 0331 head. So, can I put an older 4.0 (like 97+) that has distributor and just use all my same coils/electronics/etc...

    xj hack and tap question

I just installed the iro hnt in a buddies jeep yesterday, he used a stock front shaft. He has ~7.5" of lift in his jeep, and the stock driveshaft was plenty long enough. Depending on how you drive your rig, and the type of wheeling you do, the hack n tap seems pretty durable. And I've never...

Ohhh, I understand. Didn't realize that was possible. But after looking at it, it does look like it can be done. Thanks for the ideas!!

Frijolee, when you say mounting more aggressive, and more cutting, do you mean cutting up the grille/fenders to get it to sit up higher? Winch bumper that does not require trimming my fenders

I understand you don't want to cut your fenders, but in my opinion, if you do cut them flush with the grille and whatnot, like the newer style xj, and put a bumper that wraps around, it would look real nice. Plus that sort of fender cutting is simple. Just my 2 cents.

I never thought of it like that. Good point that it could save uniframe. Mine is a dd right now, if only had this jeep about a month or so. Got it bone stock. Having had a chance to wheel with it yet, still need some vital components to get it right, but its a weekend warrior. And thanks. I...

Its really not that heavy, maybe 110lbs. Or so. Like I said tho, its mostly only 1/8" steel tho. I noticed no sagging, and no issues driving on the road either. I have 4.5" RCX springs, with I think 180 spring rate, which is kind of stiff anyway.
