I bought the 3.5" OME Hybrid from DPG a few months ago, and it was the best decision I have made. The parts are top notch, and Dirk's customer service is unbeatable. He spent so much time talking to me on the phone answering any questions I had, and explaining why he chose the parts he did on...
Most likely when you go to finish removing those bolts they will break... if they do break, dont worry, there is an easy solution. Get yourself an air hammer and just knock the welded nut out from the bottom. If you dont have a compressor a hammer and a punch works too.
Then go to the hardware...
The reason it makes me think of a tire out of balance/possible bad alignment is that it happens at a certain speed.
when i had DW i could be going 10 mph or 60mph, it didnt matter if i hit a bump i was.... well i guess i could say i was in for a bumpy ride. when you have a DW, you will know...
Here is a pic before trimming.
Here is one after trimming (it is cleaned up now, actually looks decent lol)
That is the DPG/OME 3.5 ultimate kit. I'd call Dirk at DPG and he can help you out alot when choosing parts for your lift.
Is there a reason you are going with a 5-6"? if you just want that size then go for it, but you dont need that size lift to fit a 33/35.
i have the 3.5" with 33's, ill try and grab a few photos. 6.5 is a little over kill for only 33's. you can easily run 35's on a 3.5-4.5" lift. Im gong to...
Like they said, check the wheel balance.
Real DW happens usually after a bump or a change in the road surface. It will scare the crap out of you (ask me how i know.) I would double check everything in the front end it tight, it seems like most of the time something (track bar) is loose. that...
Thanks, ill take a look into the 3 link!
My jeep is red and a 96, i plan on running 33s and eventually after swapping axles end up with some 35s. I know ill definitely need gears with the 35s, but i was going to see how much of a dog it becomes with stock gears and 33s, if i can live with it...
Hey guys and gals, just got the XJ a few months ago and have been gone out with the local jeep club a few times. Im looking to upgrade to a little bit and have been lurking around alot on other peoples threads. I am somewhat torn on what i want to do with the lift, i have built suspensions...
Still kind of a noob when it comes to Jeeps, (I have been a BMW guy since i was 16) but someone correct me if im wrong.
5.5 is not required for 33s, ive seen people running a 3" with 33s which is not really preferred. I think i found a happy medium with a 4.5 and some 33s (Which i have on...
