I just went out an hour ago and tapped the starter with a hammer ,,it started right up twice! gonna go check it again and see if it will work by crossing it over now.
Have had this problem for the last couple weeks, my 92 4.0 4 speed Laredo would not crank over at the gas station/ no sound under the hood like solenoid kicking in at all. I got it pulled home and tried crossing it over with a screw driver at the starter and all it does is give a little spark...
My 92 has developed a low groaning noise when shifting between gears? (kinda like a groaning whiring sound when the clutch pedal is pushed in.
and stiff shifter engagement, any thoughts??

Well at first it took some getting use to cause my jeep's suspension was bone stock , and I was used to bottoming out hard when going accross a line of railroad tracks on the highway I drive to work each day, the posted speed is 55 where these tracks cross the highway and everyone in this area...
I paid around $80 at my local CarQuest here in Nebraska, I think they stung me a little bit cause others have got them for less. The CC784's will raise ya 2 or 2.25, mine have been on since spring and hav'nt settled yet. those are the HD progressive coils.
