This race is going to be awesome. It's great to see the New Mexico Off Road League guys busting their butts to get something like this put on locally in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The stock cover on my 96 did. I'm not sure about my 99, but I wouldn't see why it wouldn't also.
When I upgraded the rear on the 99 to a d44 and swapped the cover with a RockCrusher cover, I don't think the plug was magnetic either. Wasn't really concerned with it to be honest with you :)
Hi guys. Having a slight odd occurrence with my 96 XJ with the 4.0l and AC.
When driving, no matter what setting the HVAC system is on, whether it be on AC or just vent, when the gas pedal is pushed probably anywhere near 50% the interior blower doesn't blow as hard. Didn't notice this with...
ditch the spring compressors all together, they're not needed to remove the springs....
spray the swaybar bushings and all that with pb blaster to lubricate them. Then just smack it on the top with a hammer and they should come out.
Also, you might need to disconnect the shocks to get the...
Another simple question that someone probably knows offhand. On my 1996 4.0l XJ the little spout on the radiator fill where the overflow bottle hose connects to it has broken off.
I didn't notice this until now, here is a picture to illustrate
Does anyone know how to fix this? Can I epoxy...
Dahaha. Was able to get wd40 in the latching mechanism and it freed it. Figured it was something more serious, but this thing has been sitting long enough that none of the doors had been opened in quite some time.
On the 1996 XJ that I picked up with manual locks/windows, the passengers side door is stuck locked and partially open. I can't unlock it from the outside with the key, nor from the inside using the lock switch (they move but it doesn't unlock the door). I also cannot close the door all the...
and both axles are pre99... just give it a day or so.
I didn't swap any axles. The only thing changed was a 96 hub was put on a 95 housing (complete with 95 axles, etc)
:)
Yeah, the inner shaft was pulled out a little already when I pulled the whole front end at the junkyard and then again when I pulled it entirely to install the new hub. You're thinking the seal was probably torn right?
Then that doesn't look like it's the problem as the brakes aren't binding.
