Gonna sell my old pair... How to tell how much tread is left? Want to put a % tread left in the ad... Are there 50% wear indicators built in? I ask because it seems like there's little rubber 'nibs' sticking horizontally out of the treads..

I would think any kind of DIY weld will be susceptible to rust? Even though water can drain, depending on the stiffener design, it could trap a lot of dirt and road salt.... doesn't sound healthy!

The idea would be that the carpet would not touch the floor.. it would be held off the floor by the membrane which provides a 5/16 airspace for ventilation.. The edges would not be sealed so that the floor could dry.. The carpet would get wet and stay wet but the membrane keeps the floor dry...

You think it would make it worse? This stuff provides about 1/4" air gap, so I was thinking it might help it dry when it does get wet..

Just a thought.. Delta-FL is a dimpled plastic underlay for laminate floors in basements. It maintains a small airspace to permit the concrete to breath and dry out. What if this was used under an XJ's carpet to let moisture escape and avoid rust? Could melt I guess depending on where it is..

Noticed one of my headlights is pretty dim... From what I gather, you can buy a 6054 replacement unit and bob's your uncle. Are any of the ones available actually brighter than stock? I saw sylvania and GE's that claimed to be X% brighter/better than something else. What's the deal with...

I have one on my 95 too... it's got like 5 conductors and sits between the air filter and the fender... I dunno what it is for..
