    Intermittent power loss

So I have this problem for a while now. I like to think that it's worse in damp & cold condition but tbh it's sometime dry and the engine at it's warmest and it still does it. In idle & neutral it will cut out seamingly on all cylinders and drop to almost 0 rpm but never stalls. When in gear...

Looking for help, new york highway 22 & interstate 90

Hello! My girlfriend & I are roadtripping from Canada to Mexico. We just been through Vermont, found a couple of trails and my complete exhaust fell from before the cat. It can be an easy repair if someone who has access to jackstands & a welder would like to help us out. I am also looking at...

In middle of pulling Engine, TC, and Trans as one unit, is this OK?

I think disconnecting tranny from tc will leak oil? You might need a female torx (or inverted torx) socket/wrench for bolts on the tranny bell-housing. I've had the worse time last week with one of those.. The way I like to work is to remove engine alone and transmission/TC as a whole.

Rear Main Leak - Ghetto Fix?

Manifolds: I took em apart because I wanted to change the gasket, and clean em up. Oil filter bracket: Couldn't take the bolt going through the motor mount out, and wanted to clean it up & change the gasket What the manual said was that you needed to lift the engine at least a few inches

In middle of pulling Engine, TC, and Trans as one unit, is this OK?

I've done it, but I'd taken the whole front apart. I had a manual transmission.. Had to remove the shifter because I was on the ground and coudn't clear it. The linkages are easy just pop the some rods from the bushings with a screwdriver.. part of it stay on the case part on the truck.. I...

    Distributer Knock/tap

It was useless to try and only change cap and rotor, there is not many other possible cause than worn out bearing/bushing holding the rotor shaft.. It could have been something loose laying around but you checked right? That is why Wayne suggested to change the distributor right away. Possible...

    Steering Wheel/Column Q

+1 for clockspring, speedcontrol horn etc, everything that is not in the turn signal. I'm referring to the parts catalog for 1995.. The turn signal cam is always pretty much the same through the models and has the long flat plug, and then the clockspring is in the steering wheel part and has...

Rear Main Leak - Ghetto Fix?

Why don't you put a big pan underneath the whole truck to pick up everything that drips, then pump it back in the engine that'll work! on another note: what do you mean the header is "seized at the joint"? Can't be that bad? I'm changing my rear main right now actually.. Also rebuilding the...

    Steering Wheel/Column Q

What year is your jeep, you know it's kinda simple when you don't know what a plug is for, you look in the parts catalog? Now the big plug in the steering column, probably handles electrical stuff in there right? Like igniton, horn, wipers, cruise, windshield washer etc... Give us more info on...
