So from watching a few of the videos I’ve concluded a few things.
1:I don’t believe my steering wheel will ever “fall” off and the Jeep is steering and driving fine, it’s just a little annoying with my wheel flopping around.
2:I’ll have to source or borrow a few special tools from my local Auto...
My steering wheel is so loose and sloppy it’s drooping down and seems almost ready to fall off. I pulled the lower plastic panel and looked at the clamp and that part is solid. I don’t have access to a gear puller to pull off the wheel. Is there some type of ujoint back there that could be bad...
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately the price doubles when I try to ship it to Puerto Rico. These Cherokees are getting hard to find parts for down here since the Jeep guys are buying them all up. I might have to wait till I make a trip to the states again to find one.
I’m looking for one of these but with the metal frame since mine is rusted out.

I considered swapping out my cv axles for the ones with joints but didn’t know if it would work. I’ve had no problems with the cv joints except for when my boots need replacing which is about every 10 years.
Success! I want to a cv joint specialist and he was able to find a new cv joint end and install it. Here’s a few pictures.

My Cherokee was made in the states. Rock auto and many other sites list cv joints for my model. The problem has been finding one for the Select Trac model or the one with vacuum center axle disconnect. I’m thinking of buying the long axle and eliminating the CAD with a blanking kit like this...
Hello. I have a 1990 Cherokee sport. It has the vacuum disconnect on the pax side with the 2 peice axle. I believe this is called select trac? My cv joint boots are torn. I was able to get a new boot installed on the drivers side. The axle on the Pax side is another story. The axle is too thick...

Has anybody tried to put some Seat Savers seat covers for a 94-up Cherokee into something older than 96 ? What are the differences between the older seats and the new ones . I have these covers in my Dodge Ram http://www.quadratec.com/products/74272_801.htm and I love them . Unfortuantely ...
