Pressed bolts on sway bar, need to remove

I finally got some JKS disco's for the ole XJ. I got everything off, except for the pressed bolts. I beat em, I cussed em, I gave up and had a beer. I have no grinder, I have limited skills beyond changing tires and oil, and a limited tool availability at the moment ( have sockets n such)...

    Alignment question + wheels

I am getting my 2 inch lift on this weekend, and I am going to get some cragar soft 8's to go along with it. Here is my question: - When I get my alignment done, will it make a difference which set of wheels are on the rig? So if it has the stock wheels on it when aligned, and I put the 15x7...

Going to try to recharge A/C, compressor help!

I have a 2000 sport, and I am tired of the damn Tennessee heat, and I am going to try to see if the systems needs a recharge. I plan on picking up a can of r134 with the gauge on it. My main question is: How can I tell if the Compressor is kicking on? It blows no cold air at all, and I am...

    Lift is on the way

Well I finally orderd a lift for the 00XJ. I am going with the rough country 1.5 lift that includes spacers and shackles, along with 4 shocks. In prep for this lift I went this past weekend and got some PB spray and began to hose down the rear shackle bolts. I have a set of spring compressors, a...

    Riddle me this

Well after endless searching I can not find Up Country spring packs anywhere. Quadratec sells some Heavy Duty spring packs, I wonder if those would be the same thing as Up Country springs in terms of lifting qualities. Thanks,

    Riddle me this

Would putting new Up Country spring packs raise my rear up 2 inches, instead of going with a BB AAL or shackle? Does anyone have this setup and/or pics?

I need your expert advice... 2 inch lift help/advise

My springs are in very good shape, so I might go with a shackle and just get new leaf packs if/when they go bad. I saw an XJ with the daystar shackle lift last night, and the guy had the kit on for over 2 years, no sag, no inversion, etc.. For those who claim shackles waste leaf packs, can you...

    Tera Flex 1.5 Lift Shackles

My ride is a 2000 sport. The rear springs seem to be fine, so I don't think a shackle will harm them that much.

    Tera Flex 1.5 Lift Shackles

Has anyone had their springs wear out due to the shackle? I am in a mix between getting an add a leaf or a shackle to complete my BB. I have heard stories about both, but no one first hand has given me any feedback in regards to the "wearing out" of the spring pack. I am hoping to order a lift...

    Tera Flex 1.5 Lift Shackles

I would like to hear from those who have or have run Tera Flex 1.5 lift shackles. Yes they are the ones that come with the budget boost. I have new spring packs, so I am going to go with shackles. - How are they overall - strong points - weakpoints - is there a better shackle for a 2...

I need your expert advice... 2 inch lift help/advise

I am on my second XJ and this one is getting lifted. I want a 2 inch lift, to go with my 30x9.50s BFG MT's. 1.) I have been told spacer/ shackle lift is the best way to go 2.) AAL's tend to sag, shackles can be used again 3.) Anyone have pics of this type of combo? 4.) Anyone used the teraflex...
