New door pocket option....tell me what you think =)

IMHO the rounded looks better, looks professional, the chamfered looks "homebrew", IMHO. I would think a radius large enough to hold a soda can or maybe a 20oz. bottle would suffice.

    Reverse lights don't work

If you checked the bulbs and fuses then the NSS may need to be cleaned or replaced. Do a search in here there have been many write ups on this . Try "neutral safety switch"

    body damage

Junk yard will prob. be just that...junk www.discountjeepparts.com has full front OEM pans for 84-01 XJ's. $142.95 but freight is high. www.shermanparts.com has partial pans, I think their S&H is high OR you can try www.raybuck.com On a 00" I wouldn't think they floors would be that bad...

    Tranny Leak?

Crawl under, wipe that whole area at the back of eng and tranny clean and ,give it a visual inspection. Check it again later. While waiting for that do as the others have said, check the oil filter adapter, these "O" rings have been know to leak (quite a bit), and check you valve cover for...

mr. gasket thermostat for 96+ XJs?

As stated high flow does not always mean cooler. I'd just go with a good quality thermo. OEM temp is 195* but the choice is yours. I know ppl that have installed high flow water pumps only to have the engine run warmer due the high flow. H2O ran thru the fan and rad. so fast it did not have time...

was on a road trip this weekend and noticed how damn...

X2 tint, and the towing didn't help I'm sure. Don't forget the CAT is under the pass. side floor so you're going to get some heat from there. You could put some Dynamat between the carpet and floor and if your CAT does not have a heat shield you can "mickey mouse" one from a "Air-Bake cookie sheet.

    R&R oil pump?

X2 check the gauge first, but 20psi is not bad. For the ticking I would MMO it first, cheaper and easier. As far as the oil pump, the hardest part is getting the oil pan off, the pump is not expensive or hard to replace and while you have it open you could replace the RMS if you're feeling...

Marvel Mystery Oil, how much to use

Thats the amount I always use. 1 QT per oil change, so in this case 5 QTS oil/1 QT MMO. Don't expect an instant cure, MMO is a mild product,if sludge and varnish are not very bad you may get it one treatment, otherwise it may take a couple/few changes. Don't forget you can add it to your gas...

New door pocket option....tell me what you think =)

I like Rich's idea about the slotted screw holes, that way you don't have to screw around with door panel other than laying down a pattern for drill marks for the screws, install screws, slide on pocket.

    Coolant problem

Kind of what I was getting at. If you have any more radiator probs. try www.radiatorbarn.com . You can get a all metal three row for $175 delivered. Doesn't hurt to give the "web" a quick search b-4 bringing it to the shop to get an idea of what a part should cost, you'd be surprised how mnay...

    Cuttin' Exhaust pipe

Now that you got the sawzall you'll find a million and one use for it, especially owning an XJ. Know Malden, grew up in Boston, drove for a living in greater New England/NY/ area for years.
