H.D. Offroad no lift shackle relocation install

I have a stock shackle with a 4.25" eye to eye. I have it in the back most hole. I tried it in the bottom back hole but the angle was too severe. I'm thinking a 6" shackle in the front top hole. Any thoughts?

H.D. Offroad no lift shackle relocation install

Just installed it with a 6" tomken leaf and the angle is good but I've lost uptravel as the shackle hits the rear frame. I'm sure a longer shackle will help but I don't want more lift. Using the upper bolt holes with a longer shackle should solve this correct? Would you suggest a RE boomerang...

8.8 u joint size compared to xj fr/ driveshaft

searched for days and finally find the answer after I post it up. I found this: "The 8.8 uses a flange instead of a yoke at the diff pinion, so you'll need a flange to u-joint adapter. Most of the disc brake 8.8's I've run into or read of use a 1330 u-joint while some (or all?) drum brake...

8.8 u joint size compared to xj fr/ driveshaft

does anyone know what years the explorers ran 1310's. I'm swapping in a 97 8.8 with a xj front shaft. I know the fronts are 1310's and most fords had 1330's but some had 1310's. I'm looking at my parts and I don't see a difference between them. Did I luck out?

swapping 87 4.0l out to 4.0 HO questions

Thanks dyno. So the only other change would be the cooling...either swap in a newer rad or put in a makeshift cooler cap. I had read here a while ago that the different years had different computer responsibilities. i.e new trans had an integrated computer whereas the older trans had their own...

I have a 87 which is blowing smoke and oil out the intake like there's no tomorrow. Got a line on a 91-92 HO. I've heard about issues with the computer for the motor controlling the AW4 in some years. Anyone have any info? tried search but didn't find anything. any info would be much...

    trackbar

I would think that having metal at the axle end and the frame end would end up transfering a lot of vibration to the body. This is a trail rig but I still drive it to the trail.

defrost vent only works on low....

Email.that would be great. Another thing I've noticed is that when I was able to get it going on another speed as soon as I accelerated the flap would close. This leads me to beleive that either the line to that actuator is leaking or the actuator itself is leaking. What is involved in...

defrost vent only works on low....

Hi folks, Hope you can help a Canadian on this one cause I can only run my heater on low and it's been about -20C here for a while...brrrrrr! My heater will only blow air on my windsheild when it is on defrost/low. If I pout it on high I hear the flap close and it won't blow out the defrost...
