Couple of ways: first look for leaks, kinks in the line look for leaks in the driver side floor area up under the dash. Check the master cylinder fluid level, colour (is is murky or does it have black pieces floating in it) Usually the slave starts leaking which should be fairly obvious when...
Got the one from the dealer... Guy at the dealership sees me so ofter he always discounts now. I was going to order from the states but basically anything over $100 and it ends up being cost prohibitive with the exchange, brokerage and taxes.... not to mention the wait... This is my daily driver.
A couple days ago I posted up about a heavy clutch in my 95 XJ and I have now been able to have a look and the clutch slave is leaking.... fine... I call around to a couple of aftermarket sources and they dont have a listing... oh well maybe they are only available aftermarket in the US so I...

My Pleasure. Done this twice now and have no complaints at all. Holds tight, cheap and easy to build. Just make sure you either use a second jamb nut or a lock nut so they dont loosen up on you... and DONT over Tighten them.
Geez you have to reeeeeeeeeeeeally love unibody Jeeps to put all that into it... at some point I have to wonder if it wouldnt just be easier to buy something that already has a frame.
Gee... i just wiggle them back and forth until they snap off... unless I want to actually re-use the shot then its vicegrips and a wrench and bloody knuckles
Made mine gutter mount to hold more weight (at least in my opinion)
Here is what I used... fabbed up in my garage with my mig welder, scrap steel and some threaded rod:
I messed with using the stock rack and it put my basket way up in the air compared to gutter mount. My rack sits about 1/8" above the factory rails right now and just misses the roof in the center of the truck so I couldnt be any lower without touching the center of the roof
