I've been running 35 MTR's on my 6" lift '96 4.0/auto/231/d30/chr8.25 with STOCK GEARING for 3 years. (I know...I know...) anyhow, no problems and love the ground clearence.
Gears are in the budget for this winter finally, possibly an 8.8 swap prior to it though. I've been building this on a...
WOW, haven't seen that for awhile. REALLY though, we actually teched a homebrew Ford/buggy thing at an event a few years ago with a very similar set-up. Only he DID weld them together! Needless to say he didn't pass inspection and everyone got to admire his ingenuity on the trailer!
Sorry, alittle off topic but not really...
I'm looking to do this RK 3-link too. Just wondering though...
RALPHXJ...what sterring upgrades did you do? just links or other components as well?

I'm getting close to doing my axles too. Last time I had my rear driveshaft out I cleaned it down to bare metal, (or as much as I could) then primed it and sprayed it with rattle can Blk Epoxy appliance paint. Once cured...this stuff is hard as nails and is still shiny over 2 years later.
Re: Is the B&M 70268 tranny cooler suffient if bypassing the radiator? (PS cooling too)
Two years ago I added a Ford SuperDuty PS cooler to my PS system. Looks like a B&M cooler about 6"x9". Solved the immediate overheating PS problem and still works good today.
Let us know how the tranny...
I have been looking into those too, but because I have some nasty rub on my track bar mount. Decided the same - its gonna reduce approach angle and look kinda doofy hanging down so much lower. I already have JKS disconnects, I'll just putz with them to see if I can get a better angle on the...
