the tank in my cj2 is under my seat. iirc jeep didn't stop doing that till well into cj5 territory. at the same time it is sort of exaggerating to refer to anything on the cj2 as inside. even with the top and doors on you are more outside than in.

if it was correct when you had 28's and 3.55, it'll be right now. if you changed the speedo gear at some point in between, then prolly not.

it stops burning pretty much as soon as you take the torch off it. the trick is not to catch the layer of grease and sludge from that valve cover leak you let go for like five months too long. that does not go out on is own. and fire extinguishers make an awful mess in a small garage.
