    Bird Box Challenge

Today I had the distinct pleasure of doing the “Bird Box Challenge” XJ style. What is this you ask? Trying to locate and screw in the bottom 4 manifold bolts. That is all I kept thinking while I fumbled through trying to hold the intake manifold in place while trying to screw them in place. I...

    P0740 question

OP, were you able to fix your problem? I have a '98 having the same issue. I have read a lot of different posts and people never seem to post their "fix." I also have changed all 3 solenoids with quality replacements, changed my TPS with a MOPAR, fluid looks to be in good shape, and besides...

    tranny cooler recommendation?

If this is how the factory designed it and how B&M says to install their coolers, I am surprised there is even a debate over the correct orientation. Just my thoughts.

    tranny cooler recommendation?

I may have always been misinformed, but I thought it was standard practice to put the standard radiator transmission cooler BEFORE the new aux cooler that way the transmission fluid is as cool as it can be before it is returned to the transmission...

1995 XJ With a trans shifting issue

I would also maybe suspect the NSS and ground for the TCM, my experience is mainly working on my 98 so I am not sure this would be the same. Good luck and congrats!!

frame stiffeners with welded rocker guards

I do not have the knowledge or equipment to build my own rocker guards or to weld the frame stiffeners to the unit body. I am currently thinking of getting tnt frame stiffeners and warn rocker guards. I am going to have a local shop weld them both on. Looking for advice in regards to welding the...

frame stiffeners with welded rocker guards

Hey guys, I have been contemplating getting some frame stiffeners and while they're getting welded to the unit body, also having them weld a new set of rocker sliders to the the frame stiffeners instead of bolting them on. Has anyone done this, and any advice on stiffeners or rocker guards. I...

    Setting up differentials

The OX locker is also available for the Chrysler 8.25 ( http://www.ox-usa.com/chrysler-825/263-chrysler-825.html ) . I think it is a little more fool proof than the ARB (as there are no air lines to damage, solenoids to fail, etc.). Personally I run Detroit TrueTracs LSD front and Rear...

looking for replacement rear sway bar.

I think a lot of people run without them. You can go to a you pull it junkyard and probably get it real cheap. Just a thought.

    Rear Axle Rubber Plug

Over time the rubber fill plug becomes less pliable, I think the best solution is to just swap out the fill plug with a new one. If I remember correctly from the dealer tgey are less than $20.

    Changing AW4 transmission fluid...

I know this is an old thread; however I was reading it and had some questions. I have done multiple transmission fluid drain and fills on my 98, and It seems if I put more than a little over 2 quarts in after draining the pan then it reads high (but I have been checking in Neutral). When others...

98 Cherokee transmission can you tell me witch wires

I would change out the brake pedal switch... They are cheap enough, that when one acts faulty, it is better to just change it out. As with all sensors, for my jeep, I only choose MOPAR.

    AW-4 slipping problem

Unless you take it to a shop with a specialized pump, I believe the way most home mechanics do it (drain pan and fill) only gets out a percentage at a time. Then you drive a little bit and repeat.
