    Roof mouting the spare

Just one more heads up about yur tire on your stock roof rack. All I had on mine was a Yakima Load Warrior and a shovel when i was broadsided at about 35 mph. This was still hard enough to rip the crossmembers off the roof and put the basket just about through the other guys windshield (not...

    Back with a new build

Thanks for the input. Its almost identical to my last one. I didn't have any vibe issues w/out SYE. Didn't drop t-case iether. But my biggest question is still lift 3 1/2" or boost 2" and trim?

    Roof mouting the spare

That is why they make these things called tents and why XJ's are called 2 door or 4 doors and not sleeper cabs. You can't turn it into something it just is not.

    Roof mouting the spare

Do what I once did. put it in the back behind the rear seat. then take some cardboard and trace out the area above the tire and create a false floor on top of the spare. this will also give you space on the sides of the tire to store other gear hidden from sight, out of the way and out of the...

    Back with a new build

First, my apologies to my XJ brothers. I had crossed to the dark side after the demise of my Cherokee at the hands of a kid in a cadilac early this spring. I bought a TJ. I drove it all spring and summer with the top off and had a lot of fun. But whenever I NEEDED it to do something I was...

A testamant to the quality of Rubicon Express products

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Like I said....been kinda busy. I probably coulda bought it back for less than 1500. My buddy at the shop was willing to do the work. I woulda happily done that for you. With the exception of the new front end decorating, it was real sweet. Looked...

A testamant to the quality of Rubicon Express products

My goal was to eventualy have a TJ...........parked right next to my XJ. I'm pretty sure I coulda fixed it if I bought it from the insurance company. My bigest enemy right now is time and I can't have a busted up vehicle siting around "until I can get to it".. I'm basicly in the middle of a...

A testamant to the quality of Rubicon Express products

The insurance company just cut my check for $4800. I was hoping for a little over $5000, but that was close enough. They let me go to the shop and take my bumper and a few other items off, so I guess I can't complain. I learned a whole lot from y'all and it definately influenced my work...

A testamant to the quality of Rubicon Express products

Just maybe somehow it coulda been my fault, but the insurrance companies and the police officer seem to think otherwise. The other guy recieved several invitations to appear in traffic court. Following too closely, Failure to keep right and improper seat positioning. He only admitted to being...

A testamant to the quality of Rubicon Express products

Well. The XJ is dead. The entire front end needs to be replaced. The adjuster totaled it out and now I'm just waiting for a call from the total loss department. Looked for another XJ, but really didn't see any i was too impressed with. Unfortunately I've gotta get some wheels under me kinda...

    brake suggestions

If you aren't looking for hot-rod type stuff, there is no need to spend a lot of $. I usually go with Advance Auto and buy middle of the line pads or shoes. The least expensive ones seem to squeek kinda bad after a while.
