    17's or 15's dilemma

If someone is willing to steal your 15's, wouldn't they be more likely to steal 17's? Also, I believe tires for 17" rims are more expensive than tires for 15" rims. Just my .02

Ya I was suprised that $125 was all they charged for a rear axle. Pulled it outta the XJ and dropped it off. $125 and a couple days later, 4.56 gears installed and much better gas mileage and power. I took it to a local speed shop and they did an awesome job on it. Figure if anybody knows...

How many have installed their own gears?

my 8.25 was $125 to have my gears installed at a speed shop. I brought them my axle and a pile of parts. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. If I installed them and screwed it up, my problem. If they messed it up, their problem!

    RE or TW???

Well the RE Hack and Tap and the DPG Offroad driveshaft was around $389 for both from DPG Offroad. No shipping since I live 15 minutes from DPG Offroad. I am not sure how much the Tom Woods driveshafts are, it was already installed on my last XJ when I bought it. Hope this helps!
