Renix steering gear box repair options

I agree, go used - or drop the benajmins for a new PSC. I've had an Autozone Cardone, which was trash immediately with 3" of play. Two Lares boxes, one came with stripped high pressure threads, the other with a horrible input shaft leak. They do stand behind their warranty though; nice...

    Fog lights?

I run a relay harness with the stock fogs on my '00. I also added Hella yellow bulbs, and cleaned and polished the lens. Works phenomenal. I also had a detours bar and two Hella 500s that worked great on my MJ. Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk

    Easy welding job anyone?

Dan that sounds like a good idea. I will try to make that happen, since it is just two large bolts holding the tongue on anyways... Lowrange, I'm good with that. I'll send you a message. BTW, didn't you sell me that wheel recently?

    Easy welding job anyone?

I'm in Columbia, SC and need an easy welding job for a trailer I'm working on. It's a basic Lowe's trailer I got cheap new and have built up a bit for my uses. My local welder has always done me right, but for some reason quoted me an outrageous price on this job. Maybe a bad day for him...

Choice of Adj arms with drop brackets

That really helps me out Moo. I currently run just over 30s, which on stock rims rub the drivers lower arm pretty hard. I'd like to move up to 31s (narrow 32s MAX) so WJ arm clearance would help, even though I'm going shorter backspacing on new wheels. I like the RE brackets, so those...

Choice of Adj arms with drop brackets

Sold! I'm still torn on the arms to install. The Core4x4 are my top choice really. I don't even know if I really need the lowers to be adjustable since I'm at the lower end of the required lift. Upper would adjust pinion and then I would just rotate Cs. Would a set of WJ lowers...

Choice of Adj arms with drop brackets

I see, that is no beuno. The Rocky Road braces are nice, very similar to the rubicon express set up. I have not touched the factory bolts/studs for the transmission crossmember, so that would be fun to remove! I got my Kroil and a torch though. Dragon reply back when you get a drive...

Choice of Adj arms with drop brackets

Hey Fam :woohoo: I'm reevaluating my front suspension, as in correcting sagging springs, adjustable arms and adding drop brackets. Not interested in long arms for my needs, thanks though. Originally I installed Rusty's 3" coils and a RE 3/4" spacer, which netted me exactly 4" on the...

    Temp Gauge Not Working

same, my 2000 gauge is eerily accurate to what the ECU and my infrared temp show.

    LED Fog Lamps

LEDs in the stock fog light housing would be crap. The housing, which is a nicely made, is not designed for LED bulbs. You would just scatter light everywhere, and possibly reduce your visibility, and definitely blind other drivers. The low mounting points of fogs are by design to light up a...

OME leaf packs users help please (+2")

Same, after 2 years with the overload leaf removed and a 3/4" Rusty's shackle, I'm still sitting at 4" over stock. I only have a Detours Tailbone and 31" spare out back, no extra armor or weight. My springs also just had a label and shrink wrap, but came undamaged.

What is the cheapest "good" steering box you can buy?

Lares, Blue top, RedHead, PSC are good brands and a Durango, YJ, or S10 boxes are good junkyard sources. I have a RedHead that is working well, albeit a bit heavy steering...Did not know about Blue top until after the fact.

    No front brakes!

He stated that he already verified they calipers are oriented correctly. I would look at the lines themselves, hard and soft, and the condition they are in. Are they original, or new? Hard lines can get a blockage, and soft lines can collapse internally. How was the fluid flowing while bleeding...

    Freon leak help

Definitely look around the drain for any dye, as it tends to collect there if the drain is flowing. If you can pick up a cheap endoscope camera you might could go through the vents to see if there is any dye in them...
