But also I did not get a chance to put this in but I put it up on jack stands and put it in 4 high and low the wheels were not moving but the front drive shaft was spinning could that mean that the axle shaft it self is broken or stripped ?

I got a questions I just did my front U-joint in my 89 Cherokee and when we were finished I checked the drive shaft and it had a little bit of play from cap to cap on the new u-joint and I was just wondering is that normal or did we just not compress the caps enough.
