Thanks guys. It was the starter motor. Solenoid was fine which is good because the wrecker starter I picked up had a good motor in a bad solenoid. Back on the road again:-)

Hi Guys,
I am not cranking. Parked in a parking lot yesterday, came out and will not crank.
Have not been having starter problems recently.
Battery is good, jump start does not help. I can hear solenoid click and voltage drops significantly when I turn the key so...

Can I replace the rear left side axle shaft with ABS tone ring on a D35 with a non-ABS shaft? Same dimensions and splines?
I don't think the ABS has worked in 8 years.
The shaft in there now has been eaten by the bearing - has about a half inch deep...
When I swapped my transmission the E-torx were the hardest to get to, but lots of extensions and a u-joint socket worked great. I found that with lots of extensions it was actually easier getting the driver side bolt going over the top from the other side somehow.
Why do you need to do anything...
Hey guys - I took measurements with a pin probe with socket connected. At the Fuel pump assembly, I got less than 8 volts and it dropped quickly with key on. Then jumpered around the big connector on pins 1 and 6 and everything is good. 12 volts or more all the way to the pump and the jeep is...
I can run the pump from a 12 volt battery from the pump assembly pigtail with pins 1-6. I measure 12.5 volts between pins 1 and 6 on the harness connector from the front at prime and while cranking. Plug them together - no pumping, no pump noise.
I am going to try to jumper over the connector.
OK, testing 1 to 6 for 12 volts.
Fuel filter is not too old, but even if it is totally clogged I think it would just keep the engine from running rather than having no pump priming whine.
Also - anyone else having trouble with the site? I am on my iPhone and have Naxja background image filling every white space in the forum table cells. Damn near unreadable.
I am going to try direct 12 Volts to the pump before getting towed home - just want to make sure I have the right wires. Anyone have the pinout for the connector at the pump assembly?
So I replaced the fuel pump, not too hard. hardest part was getting the o-ring to sit still and not poke out the gap while I hammered the clamping ring back in place.
Worked great for two weeks - no starting issues or problems.
Today it sputtered to a stop and died in a parking lot after a...
I read that one. Seems to be different from my issue. He was having pressure problems. I have strictly motor start issued with the pump motor and no pressure problems. Good general info though.
