Good catch! I saw that too but had no idea what it was because I’ve never looked under an XJ.
Might put this one on the back burner, 50 mile drive each way may not be worth confirming the floor to be rusted through

So if it doesn’t say Tupy underneath the oil fill cap, no real way of telling which head was placed in the new motor?

Another question: with a new 4.0 being placed in the Jeep a few years ago, do you think its safe to assume the head on the new motor was updated to a Tupy head vs the original head in 2000 that tend to crack?

Been looking at buying a wrangler or XJ and found a 2000 with just under 200k miles and is still owned by the original owner. New motor, not rebuilt, about 15k miles ago.
I know what I’m looking for when looking at frames on wranglers for rust but I’m not sure exactly what I should be looking...
