clamping snug to the crossmember? that's a great idea...but, could you damage the exhaust pipe eventually with it snugly fixed to the crossmember? i'm thinking the engine torquing could be a problem???

(not stealing the thread) - i've had the same exact rattle for a year, and cannot figure out how to remedy it. is there some sort of heat resistant rubber that can be wedged between the exhaust and the crossmember??

my wife's Crv has 101k miles on it, and no replacement of the timing belt yet. i'm planning on doing the belt, the tensioner wheel, and a water pump.... any suggestions? any step-by step advice? thanks!!

There's nothing wrong with that price, considering if they break, he will need to drill for hours and retap the holes. You could get under there yourself, blast the bolts with penetrating oil, then easily try to tighten the bolts, then loosen easily, then tighten, loosen, etc....keep adding...

i've had to take two caps from autzone or wherever each time i've replaced it - for some reason there are two listed - only one fits perfectly. i would go the self-tapping screw route, or try to drill out the broken one. those screws are tiny and i cant imagine they are that strong. just...

great simplified information...i have a couple quick ones: how much brake fluid are you going to lose when you disconnect the old lines? how many lines are there exactly? i know there are probably two that run from the booster to the rear brakes.

this is my next project as well. i don't think there are full replacements available - i think you buy the correct size line, the fittings, and then bend and flare the lines to match the old ones. keep me posted on how the job goes!

I had the EXACT same issue after a dead battery. apparently, if the battery gets completely drained, there is not enough juice to run the fuel pump....thus, your jeep only runs with your foot on the gas - at idle, it dies. just run the jeep revving a little for 20 min...if then you still can't...
