    What year 8.25

    Thank you for the help. Reason for looking this route is there is only 1 D35 in phoenix junk yards right now. If the 8.25 is really a drop in, this would be awesome as there are more possible donors.

    Great information. Thank you so much. Any idea of stock drive shaft length on 89 XJ with Dana 35?

    What year 8.25

    Thank you all, did not know any XJ axle was bolt in. This is great news as I was quoted over 1k to have Dana 35 rebuilt. As far as gear ratios, this is a great excuse for me to pull the front drive shaft. This is a first car for my daughter and not meant for her and her boyfriend to go out in...

    D35 -> 8.25 swap parts?

    Sorry to dig up an old thread. Have a quick question. Is there a "best" or easiest year for 1989 XJ? Looking for as close to bolt in as possible. Thank you

    Best place to buy used Dana 35

    Thank you for the help. Pull your part, might be my best bet. The axle needs ring and pinion plus all bearings. Its previous owner beat on it. She just needs to get to school and back.

    Wont go above idle. Please help

    Thank you, grounds look good. But, looking around some, I do have the distributor off a little. I went old skool and have rotor pointing right t #1 cylinder post. Reading up on this, its supposed to be just passing. Hoping this helps. Not sure how retarded 1 tooth is. But I know its off.

    Wont go above idle. Please help

    Newbie here. Did try searching and did as many Cruise 54 checks as possible. 1989-XJ. Performed Engine swap. Starts, idles very nice. Crack the throttle and it falls apart. Shaking, miss firing, popping (back fire maybe). Grounds refreshed at dip stick, CPS checks out good, (can only...
