Just went and measured looks like the in and out were both 2 1/2. My little brother just came and picked up the xj he's got the day off so he's gonna run it over there for me. I guess we'll see how things go.

I cut a piece of like 1/8th in aluminum to mount on the visor latch posts. Then i mounted the CB to that. It holds really well, i've not had it bounce around at all. You really don't notice the aluminum either, i mean it's not gaudy. Only problem I had is that i broke my rear view off...
