Following. having the same issue in my Renix. Idles fine and drives fine but oil smells of gas. Just did a new exhaust manifold and gasket, new O2 sensor, cat and muffler too. Wondering if mine is due to the fact I usually only use it for short drives around town?
Looks good. I just picked up a 1970 Jeepster. Been looking for one for many years. Interested in the T15 swap as my T14 trans was in the back and missing all the internals.
My XJ has done this forever....did it before and after a complete suspension swap. Think it is coming from the knuckles where the brake caliper sits and it has worn away a bit of the knuckle....does not effect my handling at all though. My guess is that's a separate issue probably.

Changing plugs and coils solved MOST of the problem. Idle is a lot smoother but it still stalls but only after just filling the gas tank? Looks to be some sort of fuel pressure issue. Told my wife not to fill it all the way up next time and see if it still stalls.
The only difficult trails around Leadville are Mt Elbert and Holy Cross. (Not sure how Holy Cross ended up on the South list?) Have not yet run Holy Cross but from what I have heard at least one locker and 33's with skid plates would be recommended.
