I'm giving my Chrysler 8.25 rear end a bearing overhaul and I'd like to find a competent shop to pull/install the bearings.....or maybe just finish the whole set up. I'm reusing the ring and pinion. Any recommendations within 50 miles of Hagerstown, MD?
I only disconnected it temporarily to see if I would get a check engine light.......I didn't get the light but didn't run long either.....the rear is on jack stands right now. I plan on cutting out the bad section of harness and splicing in new wires....I agree the sensor has a purpose or it...
I just read the posts on "C 8.25 growling".....looks like I may need a rebuild on the C 8.25. When I got the XJ the diff cover was very wet and when I finally got around to checking the fluid it was really low......the cover had peeled back....so I replaced it.
I found a damage wire harness tonight that leads to the second O2 sensor...the one right after the catalytic converter. I seem to recall reading on here that you can unplug that one and not have any issues. Is that correct?

Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to Jeep's so I'm trying to get familiar with my 99 XJ that I've had for about a month. When disengaging 4wd high there used to be a loud "thunk", which I thought was the front diff disconnecting.....however, I actually have a non-disco Dana 30. The noise...
