Damn i miss this jeep.. :(

For anyone interested, I put on a brand new CA approved walker cat today and then smogged her. First time she has been smogged since 1999/2000. And I might as well be driving a prius. Scored really LOW on everything. Not sure if she just runs that great or because the new CAT had less than 5...

Well the day has come. Bought a truck and now to say good bye to the XJ. :(

Year update. Jeep is still running strong. So far my best mpg was driving 800ish miles round trip towing two jetskis a 3 wheeler and as much crap as we could fit inside of the jeep and onto the trailer. Couple of huge grades to drive up and still managed just over 18mpg.

Good to know! Battery died on her. Put a new one in and now all the doors unlock when i hit the button. Wondering if that had something to do with it. I will adjust the linkage and swap the sensor if she is still doing it.

Not sure if it is the time of year or I have an issue. I have noticed that she is downshifting more often up small inclines compared to not downshifting at all a few months ago up the same roads. MPG is about the same and nothing else seems to be different. Recently changed the oil, air filter...

Just like the title says can I take the leather seats out of a 2003 Jeep grand cheerokee and put them into my 96 XJ? Well would it be a direct fit or am I looking at a weekends worth of modifying them? :)

Also is there anything else that I should replace that would be easier to do with the mounts removed?

Any recommendations on a motor mount for everyday driving and not 4x4'ing? Also anything else I should check/replace while I am replacing them?

I tried hose clamps and large zip ties but they only last a week or two. Anyone know where I Can find this part or what the part number is for it?

Port and polish, Add a header and 99+ intake if you do not already have one too. :)

Finally got some hwy miles without a trailer. 162 miles hwy and 30miles city came out to 18.38mpg. New record for the xj! Hopefully when the temps get above 50; mpg will go up with it. Also got the bluetooth obd2 working. (3rd one I bought worked!) Any tips on what gauges things I should check...
