I have some take off tires (265X65-16) that are the right diameter for my Cherokee. So I thought I would buy some salvage yard rims and get some use out of them. (I have my own tire changer and balancer) So in looking at what's available at the online tire retailers, about everything in 16" is...
On the last 2 clutches I installed, I used a pair of pliers to snap those fins off the clutch. Makes installation much easier. A few years ago, I installed a replacement clutch with the fins and some time later it caught one of the vertical radiator wires and made a mess. Cost me a radiator...
Have you checked for a broken motormount? I had a similar ticking and when I had a broken motormount replaced the ticking stopped. I can only assume the engine was cocked sideways a little bit and caused the noise to come from the flexplate area. This noise started over a year earlier when I...
I just installed a 12"X11"X 3/4" stacked plate (LPD model) from the same company. So far it's working great. We will see a real test when it gets into the 90's. Thanks for the tip.
In the Jeepin' article, he disassembles the front end to install the cooler. I was hoping to install one without taking off the front end. Is that impossible?
Just spent a while searching threads and have not found anyone who has installed an aftermarket cooler with fan. I would like to install the B&M stacked plate cooler with the 9.5" fan(B&M # 70297), but at 3.5" thick, there is not room for the unit to fit between the grill and the A/C condenser...
I recently had a flush done and the pressure guage read around 20 pounds. I would be more concerned that it is rated to take the heat than pressure. Any commercial tranny cooler hose should work.
The first replacement pump after about 1.5 years was pumping air bubbles into the fuel rail. Also the pressure dropped when the engine was reved up. The 2nd replacement pump, about a year old, the one I'm going to have replaced on Friday, is malfunctioning when it's warm outside. It's heat...
Thanks for the info. Now I don't know if an engine from a left hand drive Jeep will work in my right hand drive. The mechanical fan and electric fan are reversed on my engine. Have to do more research.
I am pressed for time, so I am going to try a NAPA. It's $251.00 with the assembly. Found out the last 2 pumps that did not last very long were from an AC/Delco supplier. Thanks for the info.
