What if anything is different about the 97 auto trans. My cousin has one and the trans just went out. I have one from a 95 but I read that it wouldn't work and that only a 97 trans would.
I did the swap in my 94. My donor cluster was from a 95 so the only thing I changed was the oil pressure sending unit and the water temp sensor. Everything else works. Plugs right in.
I know about a grand cherokee laredo that has the 5.2, it is for sale but it has electrical issues. The owner said that when driving around a corner the jeep would just die. If you wait for 5 min it will start right up and run great.
Anybody know what could cause this.
I have a popping sound coming from the front suspension.
It was discovered during mine and the jeeps first time wheeling. Only 14.
During the trip the sound got louder. After I got it home I checked the front suspension
and found that all of the upper control arm bushings are lose, but the...
Can anyone tell me the best way to lift a cherokee to fit 31 with the fenders trimmed? What spring are the best for the back? What would you do to the trac-bar and the control arms? All this might be happening to an 88 cherokee.:helpme:
I know the 88 transfer case won't work but will the TCM in the 88 controll the newer 95 transmission? If it will what would have to be done to the wiring of the transmission?:wierd:
I know of an 88 cherokee with a bad automatic trans.
It still runs good and has a good 231.
I need to know if the trans from a 95 with a 231 with fit.
Will I need the 95 231 also to make the swap work?
If it can happen I might be able to build a new toy.
Will the trans from a 95 cherokee with 231 and 4.0 swap into an 88 with a 4.0 and 231? The 88 has the comfort and power shift but the 95 does't.
If it will work the 88 might become a new toy and not my 94.
Both are in a local salvage yard for the cheap.
I know this is a popular question but not in this way.
Everybody knows of the rusty's bar breaking under hard conditions but not like this.
I just broke my trac-bar 30 min ago by turning around in a fresh snowdrift.:bs:
I have never even taken the jeep off-road yet.
What is the best replacment...
I have the choice swap a 92 minivan for a rolled 95 grand or a 95 cherokee.
Both have 4.0 the cherokee has 8.25 in the back the grand is a 35.
the front in the grand is a cv style setup. Neither have any good sheetmetal.
Which one should I get?
