I went to my local off road store and they said that if its loose for some time you can enlarge the hole on the bracket and you will never get it tight enough. whats a rememdy for this? yes stock track bar. the springs are three inch taller than the stock ones

Just put a three in lift in my xj 99 4.0 aw4. I started driving and imidiately I notice a grinding in the rear end. I got my shocks in and now it only does it when I let off the gas and slow down. There is about four inches of lift in the rear due to new leaf packs. No idea what it could be.
Got them out. The metal sleve was siezed to the bolts. a bit of heat a cut off wheel and a cold chisel to get them off and we were good. the sleve was basically acting like a nut and would not let the bold come out. and why not WD-40?
Putting a three inch lift in my jeep. The leaf springs are broke so we are replacing them. Main bolts are very hard to move. The springs are completely detached from the axle so there is not very much pressure on the springs. Any tips for looseening up those bolts? Thanks guys
Does anybody know where to get the switches for the rear def. rear wiper and fog lights? mine are all shot except the def. and i cant get them anywhere. not even the dealership. or can i go to AZ and get a few swiches and put them in?
Would this be an acceptable DD combo? Or is that too much gear and not enough tire? I dont do any extreme wheeling or anything. just mostly on road driving. Just wondered if it would help gas milage any.
I would try adjusting the linkage. It may still be corect enough to trip the sensor into saying FT but could be off enough to not go in properly. You may have a bad U joint also.
It idles a bit smoother after a little drive.. i cranked the engine with the v cover off to check for oil. it looked satisfactory. plenty of oil was getting up there. put the v cap back on and fired it up. tapping seems to come from the top of the engine. i'll change my arms and rods come next...
I compared Arms. Mine are definately worn. Probly from the two years and 40k miles with no oil change when my mom owned it (what is it with vehicles and women?). Never thought about the TV cable. How Do you adjust it?
