    WTF? Coolant leak- HELP

I just replaced all of the freeze/casting plugs on a Dodge2500 I recently bought (had one of the plugs on the rear of the block leak which required tranny pull) and I put brass freeze plugs back in instead of the steel ones. I'm hoping they will last longer than the steel ones. probably not...

tomken tow bar or drawtite front hitch?

thanks for the responses saki669 - when you mounted the tow bar bumper brackets to the hitch, did you drill thru the front of the hitch and use the bolts that came with the brackets or did you drill thru both sides of the hitch and use longer bolts to mount the brackets? a pic would be great...

creaking sound - NP231 output bearing?

okay, thanks I was thinking any play would be a sign of worn transfer case. I was confused b/c I have a NP207 in another truck that I just removed before I send it to the crusher and that transfer case has 234K on it and is equally as loose on the shaft but does not make the same noise (at least...

92 XJ AW4/NP231 155K I have a creaking sound coming from the transfer case area on my 92 XJ when accelerating from a stop (more often when also turning left and accelerating from a stop) that I thought was a U-joint going so I replaced both U-joints in the rear driveshaft but the sound is still...

    Clutch Master Cylinder problem?!?

sounds like internal leak at the master. brake fluid gets past the seal inside the master and reduces the effective volume of the hydraulic system. you know there is a little plunger inside the master and when it is old and worn the edges of the seal don't hold and fluid gets past. in the past...

    ac woes...kinda long

88xj has R12 in it unless converted to R132. it wouldn't be cost effective to get the certification and hunt down some cans of R12 on Ebay just to find your leak. if the system is empty there won't be any pressure to leak out. you can use one of the inert gasses to put pressure in the system...

discovered this under the carpet. found lots of info on fixing rust from searching but nothing that addresses what needs to be done about this support on the underside. it looks like that is where the water came in to cause the rust around the seat bolts. it is totally in the way of cutting the...

rust at front seat mounting bolts fix?

thanks for the tips! it looks like the moisture came in thru the bottom where that crossbrace is mounted to the unibody, which is why I am asking about removing that crossbrace or other suggestions on what to do. scrape and POR on the top was my plan but I am wondering if water still gets in...
