Ear plugs if you plan to be near the shooting.

Rev

I've got a ziploc bag full. I'll only need 2 of them so, I'll have extra.:D

Ok looks like Lucy is coming along for the pig gig. Jim, are there any male dogs there that aren't neutered? Lucy isn't spayed yet. I don't want any puppies! I will chain her up near the barn while we shoot so she doesn't freak out. She hasn't been around gunfire yet.

I will have some extra as well.

I'm bringing the mutts, they're sans swinging nuts. Was planning on bringing their tie out.

A side note. Got some more time on the press today, with some .45 brass that showed up.

1911 owners rejoice.

I have no problem tossin down a couple bucks for that pigeon thrower. Sounds like a sweet setup!

I took the thrower to Jim's earlier this afternoon, I think it will work nicely.
I called this afternoon and the pig is ready, I'll pick it up tomorrow morning. 155lb piggy @ $1 lb.

Directions:

Here are some directions:

From Effingham go south on RT. 45 approx. 18 miles to the Iola Rd. Turn west go 1 mile to the T. Turn south for .2 miles. Turn west for 1.5 miles. Driveway will be on the right.

From Flora go north on RT. 45 approx. 10 miles. Then follow the above directions.

Once you are on the Iola Rd. if you get to the river bridge you have gone to far. The bridge is about 1/4 mile past the drive.

I will have some sort of signs on the highway & at the drive. Once you get up the drive go around the barn to the left, parking will be in the back.

If you get lost the phone # there is 618-665-3475.

I am off work Thur.-Mon. so if anybody wants to show up a day early or stay an extra day I'll be around. Just let me know. JIM.

I enjoyed the "pass the phone around to the drunks" phone call, I could feel the love! :D and remember, goats are just sheep with handles !!!!!

Great time as always.

Some of the best pig I have ever had.

The biggest baddest revolver I have ever seen, or shot, not to mention a insane shotgun.

and wonderful people as always.....even the one from the north, it was good to see everyone again.

Yeah the 460 was FUN!!!!!!!! Had a great time as always. The hog was good and got to shoot a lot of guns that I have been wanting to shoot. Its funny how I can't hit anything with my pistol but I can pick up a 1911 and hit 4 out of 7!

made it home alright.

dogs are passed out.

came home to a broken window in my door, boo.

good times, we'll be back.

Going through my pictures, I only had one on the camera that was worth sharing:

You know, I don't have one of those files but, I think I just got my first pic for it! Good call!

nice to know that you're all fapping to my wife.

I kept telling you guys nothing's hotter than chicks and guns.

Just finished cleaning the AK. Seems I charred the inside of the hand guards. it *might* have had something to do with those mag dumps later in the day. At least they didn't catch fire. I'll have to refinish them though, burnt the finish off the gas tube wood. Oh well, saturday marked it eating 1K rounds without a malfunction, even when I abuse the hell out of it, so I think it's now zombie reliable.

Hale had PM'd me why the reloads were so smokey, so I'll explain. We use bullseye for the 9 and 45, 231 for the 40. They're slower burning powders with ancient formulations (bullseye was on the market 100 years ago) that are designed for lead bullets. The newer less smokey powders burn faster and hotter, so they melt the back end of the bullet. The melted lead sticks to the barrel and deposits in the rifling. It makes a mess. So, with lead bullets you have smokey powders. Price to be paid for the cheapness of hardcast lead vs. FMJ bullets.
