new rear axle

My freind needs a new rear axle for his 2001 xj. It is completely stock and wants to keep it that way. What will bolt straight in and where would be the best place to find it.
 
dude go to a junk yard. all the yards i have gone too the jeep cherokee has the best pickins because it is the most abundant vehicle there. i only hope that is because it is a very very popular vehicle :gee:
 
you'll be looking for a dana 35, or a chrystler 8.25, off of a cherokee... like said, go to a junkyard...
