So im pretty bored today and build threads seem to be a fun thing to do lately.so i am gonna show off my junk :wave1:
so i wanted a wrangler since i can remember and when it was time for me to get a newtome truck i sent out looking for one with only 3500 bucks available to buy i found out really quick that i couldn't afford a Tj
thats ok though because i have a son and my wife and mother kept telling me if i got a wrangler my son would freeze in the winter.
after looking through Craigslist and seeing some lifted XJ's i started liking them more than Tj's but they were still out of my price range going for around 6 or 7 grand for a late model. Ready to bump my price range up i went to look at a 98 red 4 door that ran like crap the whole thing shook when it was idling so i turned it down quick. i check CL the next day and there was a dealer selling this 00 4.0 4x4 4dr for 3999
I sat in the dealership for a couple hours telling them my bottom line was 3000. the salesmen was not budging at all (young guy just starting out) he brought over one of the senior vets to try and talk to me :laugh: he got the price lower.......by like 10 bucks. i wanted to walk right out of there but they wouldn't give me the keys to my trade back, i started getting angry yelling at the kid and telling the other guy to find my keys because im leaving, finally the used can manager came by to see why one of his salesmen was about to get his Arse kicked for not giving me my keys when he asked how he could help i told him "keys so i could leave" we worked out a price of 3500 out the door no trade
about a month later i started researching lifts/tires/etc... found cherokeeforum and became a post whore, learned stuff,and influenced my wanting to go wheeling
i was very impressed on my maiden voyage, though i had no idea what i was doing i stuck to the mud pits, sand and light trails
