tcase filling question

can you top the tcase off by filling the transmission or only by using the fill plug on the tcase?


can't get the fill plug off for the life of me and i need my wheels back. i just did a flush/filter/new cooler.

T-case and transmission do not share fluid.

ok thanks...wasnt 100% sure since there married.....the color was the same.....same burnt smell lol.

Yes, same fluid type, but there is a seal in the transmission that seals against the input shaft of the transfercase. Transfercase is a standalone unit as far as fluid is concerned.

yeah i know there the same fluid lol... i just remember hearing some married cases share fluid with the to promote better cooling factors.
