6.5" rough country lift ?

Brian_NJ

NAXJA Forum User
I am in the process of installing the 6.5" rough country lift on a 2000 xj and am trying to figure out if I need to install the transfer case drop or not. I am installing a SYE and a new driveshaft for the rear. Will this be needed to retain the factory front driveshaft or maintain corect front drive line geometry?

Any input greatly appreciated.

No you dont want to use the TC drop if your doing an sye kit.

Thanks for the info!

The lift install has been pretty easy but make sure to print the instructions off the website, do not use the ones in the box! They list some steps that are not correct.

For example the ones in the box tell you to use ont of the included bolts to mount the new shackel;es, well the threads are not the same as the factory threads. On the website version the directions tell you to use the factory bolts

Take a look at your front driveshaft angles since your dana 30 is lp.
