2001 xj with older 4.0

My 2001 has a older 4.0 in it have problems with the head.leaking coolant in the valve cover bolt hole.can i use the 2003 tupy head the that 4.0

If I read this correctly, the OP has an earlier 4.0L. What gen ???. 87-90 RENIX, 91-95 HO do not have dowel location pins. 96-up do have head dowel location pins. You can put on latter heads on block with out the dowel pins. You have to eye ball the location. If 96-99, then the dowel pins should be there.
