Painting under Jeep?
I'm considering painting underneath the jeep, so it looks nice. I've seen others w/ painted axels and such so it got me wondering if you could just paint over the rust with some rustoleum or have to scrub a goodly bit off before painting it? Just a little research venture here.

Do a search for "POR-15". You will find answers to your questions at their website.

Re: Painting under Jeep?
well a couple of other products as well. from www.eastwood.com
Rust Encapsulator-Black-rust proventive product. Seam Sealer-great for covering any large/small areas for water leaks Rubberized Undercoating-Goes overtop off the above. I have used this stuff on the inside floors and the underside on my XJ and my Father In-law uses it in his resto shop on muscle cars to prevent any rust. POR15 is a great product as well. I have it on the skids and rocker guards as a base coating. Juice |
