I have an 87 with a Dana 30 front and a Dana 44 rear. How can I tell buy looking at the front axle if it's a reverse rotation high pinion. Sorry if this makes me look new but I am.

Its a high pinion reverse pitch.... all 87s had HP
you can tell by looking at the housing... pretty self explanitory.... look at yours, and note where the yoke is.... then imagine what it would look like if the housing was flipped over...the yoke is at the bottom of the housing.... thats what a low pinion looks like.
