Stock should be OK on this lift, but condition?
steering linkage is all pretty new, bearing hubs also new, alignment was just done at a highly recommended shop and seems to be good. stabilizer was replaced a few years ago with a moog one. nothing new in the control arms, so maybe thats my next step? tires seem to be the most recommended thing at the moment, but going to 31s is going to be a costly endeavor because i need to do a lot in the rear axle before i make the jump.

Whats shackle look like. Is it actually 2.5" lift?

Control arm drop brackets on it? I would

Drop brackets, good shackle angle good shocks. Not sure anything needs to be branded ome.

I have read where people talk good about the ome shocks. But I think they're just a cheap cookie cutter shock. But I think the same of bilstein 5100s

Yes tire psi plays a roll. I run less tha 20psi

i'll look into some drop brackets and the shackle angle and see if that helps

If you did nothing the angle is likely no longer "stock" even if the parts are.

Thats probably most of your problem if the rear in particular is an issue.

Re: Improving ride on a DPG OME lift

FYI

I just recently installed shackle drop brackets on my 3.5" OME. It appears the angle is better than stock but it's still not near "ideal" 45*. So now I'm about to install SRB from Rough Country (arrived today) to improve shackle angle. Possible downside is the added lift the from the SRB. My lift is 3.75" rear & 4.0" front, fully loaded. I'll post pictures before/after of the SRB. If the look and/or feel is wrong I might go with MetalCloak 4.5" progressive front springs and CAD (Control Arm Drop) brackets. Round and round.

Re: Improving ride on a DPG OME lift

That's not a bad angle, at least for stock shackles.

Re: Improving ride on a DPG OME lift

Is it just me or does that leaf pack have twang like a 30year old pack. I see a slight S shape to the main leaf.
Probly isn't why the ride is rough just something I noticed

Yeah, I see that too. Probably going to end up with new springs all around before this is over. Have a run planned Sunday after Thanksgiving (weather permitting) so will see how it performs/feels then.

OME leaf packs have maybe 500 - 1000 miles max and very little offroad, nothing difficult. 3.5" springs measuring 3.75" with drop shackles and full load of a few hundred pounds.
How's that shackle angle look?

Re: Improving ride on a DPG OME lift

Looks not great. Should be 45 degrees or so back, you’re not quite 90, maybe 70 or so.
