More recline from back seat?

Has anyone ever moved the rear seat seat-back receivers on the body of the XJ back to add more recline to the back seat? I'd like to get a bit more recline for my wife and son who typically sit together in the back seat. Apart from the spare tire getting in the way of leaning the seat back further, I don't see any real issue. Looks like I just need to drill two new holes on each side to move the receivers further back, maybe an inch.

The idea is sound but you might have to add some back there to mount the latches to.

Thanks, not a 15 minute job after all, but I guess not too hard. I just need to have someone weld in some sheet metal. I think an inch more reline would make a pretty good difference.

Definitely have it weld for good sturdiness.
