Spark Plug wire layout

Alright, I just changed all the spark plug wires and knocked a couple off by accident when changing. Now I can't figure out the order. I thought I had it down to two but it backfires with them in any order. Can anyone please post a diagram of the plug wire order per the distributor cap? I'm lost.

I assume you have the inline 6 cyl engine?
You know where number 1 is on the cap, right? Looking at the cap from the passenger side fender, #1 is about the six o'clock position. Going clockwise starting at #1, they go in this order: 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4. Spark plug closest to front of vehicle is 1, then 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tom, I had the 3 and 5 wires switched, sounds fine now.

The I-6 intake manifold also has the firing order cast into it, or you can just remember that "15 is too young, 36 is too old (yeah right) and 24's just right"
