leaf spring clamps

I'm in the middle of making a bastard leaf pack with stock xj leaves, and mj leaves. I am not sure if I'm going to use the mj 3rd leaf which has the spring clamps attached to it. If I don't use it I want to make leaf clamps like the ones on (rock lizard fab). I just don't know how they are going to stay in place. Their's don't seem to be attached to anything.

Any ideas?

I made those clamps from Rock Lizard's site. They work fine. They clamp just hard enough on the outside of the leaf pack to hold them in place.
I don't have any squeaking or grinding noise coming from them, and they haven't moved yet (1 month).

ESPO springs(www.espo.com), 2 piece leaf spring clamps for a buck each. I'm also doing the ZJ coil, bastard pack build up and I got extra coil spring insolators(2), center pins(2), and clamps (4) for under $12.
