The WoodyRunner. My Waggy prerunner build

Figured why not make a build up thred.


ok I bought this when I was 16 before I got my license, it looked like this

Started doing some small stuff like taken the flares off

Bought a Grant Formula GT wheel for it

Bought a Dixie horn. haha :p


Painted the piece around the dash black


Bought a cheap intake and rustys 4.5 springs

Then I found a deal on tires on craigslist and cut the fenders




Then I got a deal on Naxja on a Ruibcon Express Trac bar

My brother helped build me a bumper



Found a deal on these walker evans

The day I got my license this is how it lokked.


Got new tires

Played for a bit







Then came the problem. I ripped the lower control arm mount off the uni body rail and broke a shock mount


Started tearing it apart


Bought rear glass

Trussed my front axle

Plated the frame

Then came a new engine


Rear glass mounted


Tubbed fenders



New engine in



Seats are in

Since these pics I've gotten Rubicon Express 5.5 coils, The grill and radiators etc back on, 9 inch lights and some other odds and ends done

And just recently I got new performance injectors and got my engine running

Finished up my front axle and painted it


She's happy to be on the side of the shop again instead of in storage

When she's done I'm painting it the same color and putting woodgrain on the fiberglass and doors. Its the WoodyRunner haha.

sweeeeet! you gotta throw some pics up! i didn't know you could do the bedsides on a fourdoor. you should bondo up he door cracks so it'll look like it came that way!

yeah buddy! i say 2 seater. i rarely ever need my back seat, and you'd spend a little more money tryin to conform to jeepspeed if you put another seat in there. are you dd'n this bad girl? if not, you oughta spool the rear end so you won't need the front end as much in the sand...

its gonna be my DD. Im not planning on ever racing this since im building my own long arms for it. I'm gonna try to do a 3rd seat with the back doors not opening

sounds good.... corbeau makes some nice 2 person rear racing seats that are really cheap and comfy, and easy to mount. then you could get something like mj or two door seats that will flip forward. you should tint the windows, too, unless you're gonna have a kickass cage you wanna show off. i'm just throwin the ideas out there. i'm in the boat where i'm on my own with no help from the parents, but not quite financially stable enough yet to build what i really want, so you get to hear what i'd do for a prerunner...

also, that's a sweet pic of the five of you workin on the jeep. you could send that out as a christmas card as "greetings from all of us" or "all of me" or something. really trip out some acid flashback vietnam uncle you've never met...
