Really tough to find a seat for my 97 Cherokee Sport, any other seat's work with the bolt setup?

Yes I bolted in a 96 grand cherkee sears in my 98 xj just swap rhe seat brackets direct bolt in.

WJ Grand Cherokee Seats also fit the XJ Cherokee front seat mounts.

I did the leather package Grand Cherokee seat swap as well, by changing out the seat bases.
I did learn that if you look for the "Laredo" Grand Cherokee trim package, the leather seats have a manual seat back reclining lever, just like standard XJ seats. You lose all the reclining and lumbar motors and functionality for the Grand Cherokee, as the seat base is where the motors are mounted on the pricier Grand Cherokee trim packages.
