1990 charging issue

My 90 Laredo does great in the winter keeping charged but once the hot weather hits and the AC is on, it falls flat on its face. I can't run the AC, my volts drop to 8 or less and my lights dim etc. I had my alt tested(3rd one in 6 years) and it charges fine with no extra load(AC, lights, stereo, wipers) but as soon as I hit it with a load it dies.

I installed yet another 100amp alt and same issues. The regulator tests bad under heavy load.

The battery is good, it does fine otherwise, just won't carry a load.

I'm at a loss and I refuse to spend $400 for a mean green and still have the same issues.

What are some things to look for as the problem? Some things I have done;

New cables including extra battery to ground chassis/engine cables, it idles fine at 800 in gear, belt is tight and not slipping.

I want my AC back
