np242 sye and extra parts...

When I did the hack and tap install for my 242 I wound up with an extra part. The rear bearing I. D. retaining ring

I did do the disasseble the whole transfer case option. When I was putting it all back together though the spot this ring is supposed to go it wouldn't fit.

How badly have I screwed up?

To answer my own question, yup. Definitly needed.
