Different seats?

This has been driving me mad since 2016 when I got my second xj. My 99 that I have always had without doubt has the most comfortable seats of any vehicle I have ever driven. By far. 20 hour road trips couldn't really get any easier on you... the 98 i got in 2016 is still extremely comfortable but not nearly as much as my 99. The seats look exactly the same aside from color. Anyone know if 98 and 99 years had minor changes to seat support? Or is this coincidence

From the parts catalogs I have the 97 - 99 are the same number but the 99 has a different part number for color code.

Thank you very much for checking. Maybe an odd anomaly but these seats are so great in my 99. Guess I'll never rebuild them to be safe
