I am doing a little research on parts for my next BrokenXJ, and was wondering if anyone one knows the width of a mustang rear-end. Wheel mounting surface to surface?
I currently have a 96' Explorer rear-end and am happy, but would like about 3" more width for bigger rear tires.
I have been doing some browsing and am trying to determine the width. Some mustang sites are saying the 86-92 Mark VII's 8.8 are 2" wider than the Mustang. I don't care if its a 4 bolt pattern or even 28 spline, I am looking for a wider Ford 8.8 housing with disc brakes.
