are the bilstein 5150s worth the extra money? I was thinking of purchasing the 5100s

they do 2 things:

-look "cooler"
-take longer to fade

i won't address the first. for the second, it depends on how you use your Jeep, if you like bouncing through the desert for longer periods of time, then get the 5150s. I'm gonna get 5100s cause i just don't need the extra capacity.

Personally I haven't found any reason to step into the 5150s. I'd blown out and burnt various Rancho shocks exploring Baja a few years back. Even the regular(non-5100) Bilsteins cured that problem. Now I run the 5100's, and still no problems.
This is on a daily driven XJ though. I'm sure there's a reason why Jeepspeed'ers step up to the 7100 and 9100 series Bilsteins for competition vehicles.
