Hi y'all

I have a 2000 XJ and I'm having oil pressure issues. What's the jeep is cool everything is fine but once it's up to running temp the oil pressure will drop all the way to zero. When it first started to happen I could just bring the rpms up a little and it would be fine but that no longer works. I was told by a friend that there is some kind of shady attached to the oil pump that wears out and can cause this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's my daily so I gotta get it running asap.

Thanks

If it had no oil pressure, the lifters would rattling.
Verify the actual oil pressure, the sender could be bad.
Use something like this.

If there is little or no pressure, odds are the engine is worn, oil pumps usually don't wear out before the rest of the engine does.
Large bearing clearances normally is the cause of low oil pressure.

When I had that issue in my 2K it was the cam bearings!
